"O LORD, you have searched me and you know me."
Of this I am sure. You made me, Lord. You know everything about me. Nothing is hidden from you. You know all my successes, all my failures, all my shortcomings & personality flaws. Yet You love all the same. You have never left me. Even when I think I have failed You, You hold on to me tight. There is nothing better than to be fully known by someone who loves you, who wants the best for you. It's a new year already, 2015. With all the coming resolutions, all the well wishes & hopeful "best year ever" posts on social media, I am struck by two things. First, I don't want the "best year ever". All that means is next year & the years after won't be so good. Second, I want to know You better, even as I am fully known (1st Corinthians 13:12). I am Your beloved daughter. What can possibly be better than that? While I know this year will have ups & downs, more successes & failures, more ways for me to overachieve, I pray You will forgive me & help me keep my focus on what's really important, and that is my relationship with You. Help me remain in You, in Your loyal love. Help me rest in the assurance of Your love for me.
Happy New Year, Lord!! Thank You for giving me another day. Thank You for all the gifts You have given me. Thank You for loving me & never leaving me.
